You got your favourite film on YouTube and save it on your local PC?
Use this site:
KeepVid.com (http://keepvid.com/)
Copy the Film-URL into the Textbox, then press Download
then you can download the ".flv"-File.
How can you play it on your local PC - even without Internet?
Use the
FREE FLV-Player (http://applian.com/flvplayer/?src=KeepvidPlay)
Please note that i did not test the player a lot. It just worked the few times I needed it.
The setup-program asks you if it is allowed to install additional utilities from that company. Therefore read before you click, and decide if you need them also - or not.
I'm using Opera and there is a good widget to download youtube videos with different resolutions right from youtube page.

What exactly?
Where can it be found?
Have you forgotten how to use Google Theo? :)

Have a look at the site to find out what it can do - I'm not a salesman!
I have, however, been using it for years and wouldn't be without it.
Thanks LJ. I have downloaded it and it looks good so far.
I've tested several "video downloaders" over the last 8 months... the problem with most is that they either do not work, work intermittently, or stop working when YouTube makes some change.
Until I tried Freemake Video Downloader. It works all the time, every time, due to installing WinPCap I'm assuming, and gives tons of options.
Completely free.
Look up URL on Google.
Be careful what you install: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-23696805
Okay, this is the Link to Jim's
FreeMake Videodownloader (http://www.freemake.com/de/free_video_downloader/)
